Doty-Trust Splash Pad

  • one of the more fun Riverside Parks splash pads - worth a stop!

  • Location: Doty-Trust Park in Riverside 5410 Golden Ave.

  • Cost: free

Orange Terrace Splash Pad

  • once of the nicer Riverside parks splash pads - it’s small but enjoyable, at a nice playground with some shade. The Orange Terrace Library is next door, so you can visit the library first then head to the splash pad!

  • Location: Orange Terrace Park in Riverside 20010 Orange Terrace Pkwy.

Sycamore Highlands Splash Pad

  • small splash pad at the Sycamore Highlands playground. This neighborhood park has access to Sycamore Canyon hiking trails and beautiful sunset views of Riverside (walk up the grassy hill), but no bathroom or parking lot (just park on street)

  • Open: daily 9am-6pm from Friday, May 23 - Monday, September 15 (2025 hours)

  • Location: Sycamore Highlands Park • 5777 Fair Isle Dr.

  • Cost: free

  • Operated by: Riverside Parks and Recreation, check @rivparks for updates

Buccaneer Cove at Castle Park

  • big splash pad inside Castle Park amusement center. In my opinion, this splash pad is pretty similar to the one at Rancho Jurupa Regional Park (but quite a bit more expensive). There are a couple small water slides, in the past my kids have found them very slow and sticky (you basically have to scoot your own body down rather than being pulled down by the water). If you’re just looking for a splash pad, I’d go to Rancho Jurupa. If you want to do rides and other activities and have a higher budget, go to Castle Park.

  • Open: select days from May 9 – September 13. Check the Castle Park schedule as it’s sometimes closed entirely, or Castle Park may be open while the splash pad is closed

  • Location: inside Castle Park (amusement park/mini golf center off the 91 by the Riverside Tyler Mall)

  • Cost:

    • Ride Park ticket required for 36” and taller (including adults) = $30-50 each (depending on the day).

      • Your ticket also covers quite a few rides throughout the park. I’d definitely plan to stay for the day if you’re paying for a Ride Park ticket!

      • Ride Park ticket does NOT cover mini golf or games at the arcade.

    • Kids under 36” are free but can’t do all the activities.

    • There is also a fee for parking.

  • Operated by: Castle Park - check @castlepark for updates

  • Notes: Castle Park has quite a few more rules than most of the other splash pads on this list: no outside food, swim diapers required, etc. Be sure to check out their web site for details before you go!

Fairmount Park Splash Pad - Opening TBD

Splash Pads in Neighboring Areas - Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Corona, Moreno Valley, Perris, Fontana, and More

Rancho Jurupa Splash Pad

  • best splash pad for big kids in the Riverside area, in my opinion! There is per-person entrance fee, but this is a fun splash pad for preschoolers and school-age kids. The force of the water is pretty strong and may pummel babies and toddlers!

  • Open: daily 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. | daily from April 1 - September 25

  • Location: Rancho Jurupa Regional Park

  • Cost: day use: $6 per adult and $3 per child (12 and younger), special rates on holidays.

    • The library sometimes has Riverside County Parks passes available for free to check out for two weeks, which means you can get in free to Rancho Jurupa!

    • There are other amenities at Rancho Jurupa (playgrounds, outdoor mini golf) so if you’ve already paid the day use fee, consider staying longer to enjoy those activities too.

  • Operated by: Riverside County Parks, check @rivcoparks for updates
